Technology at Eugene Ware
Technology at Eugene Ware Elementary School is based on a project based integration approach. This means that skills taught in technology class are grounded in what's happening in the classroom. This is especially important because Eugene Ware has 5-7 computers in each classroom, access to a class set Typically students have one or two projects due in technology each quarter. The projects are related to their classroom curriculum, but require technology skills to complete. By using a project based integration approach, students are actively engaged in learning, and they can immediately apply their skills to other classroom projects.
Students in second through 5th grade meet with Mrs. Holt twice each week. The first session is whole group, the second session is small group. This allows for individualized instruction that meets the need of each child.
